Cemetery and Ash Plots
About the Cemetery
St Andrew’s cemetery has been part of the church grounds since the 1860s. Over time, many of the original records were lost, including those destroyed in the 1985 fire at St Saviour’s. Early graves marked with timber have also disappeared, leaving gaps in the historical record.
In recent years, significant work has been undertaken to carefully rebuild these records by cross-referencing surviving plans, inscriptions, and physical site surveys. What you see here is the result of that work. The burial plots are now full, but ash plots on the northern side of the church remain available for reservation.

The cemetery records were assembled in 2023 by Charles Adamson, with verification of headstone inscriptions by Della Welch. We are grateful to everyone who has contributed to preserving this important part of St Andrew’s history.
